Right in the center! Just a stone's throw away from the famous Mauerpark, a total of 30 apartments in a classic old building with balcony, terrace or garden as well as three penthouse apartments with elevator. In addition to the contemporary, design-oriented furnishing of the apartments typical for Christmann, the house will be modernized to meet the highest energy efficiency standards. Triple-glazed wooden windows, color video intercom systems, designer bathroom construction and holistic design concepts by award-winning architects are no additional services, but part of the high standard at Kopenhagener Strasse. In order to allow future owners maximum creativity in the design of their homes, some of the apartments will be offered undecorated for individual finishing by the owner.
For the design of the building, we were able to win the award-winning architects BRUZKUS-BATEK BRUZKUS-BATEK and are enthusiastic about their concept. Not without reason they won the Finest Interior Award 2014. Differing from the typical street scene of Kopenhagener Strasse with its colorful buildings, a modern eye-catcher with a reserved color scheme from Farrow & Ball is created here. Delicate steel balcony railings replace the former massive masonry balustrades. Dark contrasting windows with imposed bordering perfectly complement the dark roofs and originally decorated pedestal sections with edging. The neon light for the number of the house specially designed for this building by a Berlin artist emphasizes the modernity of the building. The concept is continued inside the house. The high quality staircases, passageways and doors are created in the same design language and color scheme by Farrow & Ball. The finish includes heavy brass door fittings, high quality lighting, stairway runners und mailboxes in F&B Elephant's Breath.
EToday, energy saving is our most important task during a comprehensive building modernization. Based on the energy consultation carried out by a specialist energy planner before the start of construction, Kopenhagener Strasse 46 meets the latest energy efficiency standards. This includes the insulation of all facades, the installation of insulating triple glazed wooden windows and the installation of the latest heating technology. The cleanest energy source of our planet – the sun – is used for a large part of hot water production. Using roof-mounted solar panels solar energy is converted into heat and helps to produce the required hot water. The high energy standards of the building allow apartment buyers access to low-cost funding opportunities by the KFW.
With the experience of two generations, we will create classic high-end apartments in a traditional building. Kopenhagener Strasse 46 has high stucco ceilings, wooden floorboards more than 100 years old, solid frame and panel doors – all features that make living in a classic building so special. We combine these basic properties with the perfect color choice, modern bathroom design and experienced trade skills to create dream homes.
We have good taste in housing, but maybe not the same as you? More and more frequently we are asked for apartments for individual finishing. Kopenhagener Strasse gives you the chance to purchase apartments in their original condition and renovate them following your own style. Common features – which includes, among other things, new windows, radiators and water pipes in all apartments – are of course modernized or created by us.
If you are looking for an apartment where no one towers above you, we build modern penthouses on the top floor. These apartments feature the latest furnishings. Of course there is a fireplace, as well as heated floors, hardwood flooring, modern bathrooms and an abundance of windows. An important feature for a penthouse is the terrace for sunbathing and barbecuing in the summer. Our penthouse apartments even offer two terraces: one on the 5th floor and another one – very secluded – with a fantastic view on the roof.
What can we say about this location that you do not already know? Prenzlauer Berg is one of the most popular neighborhoods in Berlin, is centrally located and is fortunately not as noisy and touristy as Berlin-Mitte. In number 46 – almost at the end of a cul-de-sac – you will never be disturbed by passing traffic. In only a few minutes, you are at Alexanderplatz or shopping in the beautiful Schönhauser Allee at the other end of the road. Numerous pubs, bars and restaurants are within walking distance. And if you are not in the mood for your balcony (or terrace), just go around the corner and enjoy the hustle and bustle of Mauerpark in summer or winter.
